EPACE: Empower Parents through Awareness, Community Cohesion, and Education

Who it serves: Parents, adults, community partners, and advocates, with youth remaining central as volunteers.

Why EPACE: For five years, the youth and parents we serve have asked us to do more for adults. EPACE is our answer, born from EYAME.

Goal

Strengthen families by equipping parents and adults with the knowledge, tools, and community connections to prevent substance misuse, support mental health, and practice self-care.

Objectives
  • Awareness: Raise adult awareness of substance misuse, mental health warning signs, and suicide prevention, including among men.
  • Community cohesion: Bring parents, partners, and neighbors together at accessible, trusted community spaces.
  • Education: Offer health education and parent-to-parent conversations on talking with kids, self-care, and wellness.
  • Access: Put one-stop mental health resources (magnets, pens, quick-reference tools) in every household we reach.
